After Concluding BIT Talks, India-Maldives Move Closer to Free Trade Agreement

India and the Maldives have concluded negotiations on a Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT) and are accelerating talks on a Free Trade Agreement (FTA), aiming to strengthen trade, investment and economic cooperation as bilateral trade reaches $771.76 million.
